Olympics and Marcialonga
Val di Fiemme, a land of sport and champions.
Val di Fiemme, with its vast offering of slopes and ski lifts, is a popular winter destination for skiers. In the high-level sporting world, however, our valley is considered the cradle of Nordic skiing - something we are very proud of.
It has hosted championships three times, and will be the cross-country skiing venue at the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Olympics in 2026. It is also the location every year for the legendary 70-km Marcialonga, one of the most important ski races on the world circuit. On the last Sunday in January, almost 8,000 Nordic skiing enthusiasts arrive in Val di Fiemme for the occasion, professionals and amateurs alike, from all over the world.
It is a land of sports, and its inhabitants cannot help but live in this spirit: here, young and old alike enjoy mountain sports both in winter and summer. The endless possibilities and numerous facilities also make Val di Fiemme the ideal place for teams in training, from alpine skiing to athletics, from Nordic disciplines to mountain running.
